According realtime messages （@古均, @YaxueCao, @youyuping among others） on twitter and Chinese microblog network weibo.com, Chen Guangcheng (陈 光诚), a Chinese human rights defender and legal adviser for handicapped people and victims of violent crimes in forced abortions of state birth control plan，disappeared Thursday night (26 April). One of his nephew, Chen Kegui (陈 可贵, with Weibo UID @平原大由) reported through phone to Jiang Tianyong (江 天勇), a human rights lawyer, that his family at home was attacked by a group of unknown thugs with rods who climbed over their courtyard walls at 11pm. He was forced to defend himself and his family members with kitchen knife and stabbed the attackers, one of which was later identified to be the chief official of the local town, Zhang Jian (张健). Yet Chen Kegui himself was also badly wounded with bleeding head hit by rods of the attackers, according to Ye Yin (叶 隐), @鸟无之国 and some other microblog reporters. Kegui called the local police to report the case, yet the police haven't arrived on time. Chen Guangcheng's mother said she heard the intruders said on phone that Chen Guangcheng disappeared, while only his wife Yuan Weijing (袁 伟静) was at home. Kegui's father （Chen Guangcheng's elder brother) was taken away by the attackers. Kegui said that his home is only 100 meters away from Chen Guangcheng's residence, yet he can't approach there. A lot of cars and personnels came to their village early that day, which indicated the violent occurrence later at night.
